Cheese filled meat loaf roulades with tomato salad and fried potatoes

A new and fun way to make meatloaf! This is a filled meatloaf recipe where you can use any kind of cheese you like. The potato sticks are a fun way to present the potatoes too.

Ingredients 4 servings

Meat loaf
800 g (28.22 oz) minced beef
50 g (1.76 oz) onions
15 g (0.53 oz) salt
20 g (0.71 oz) butter
100 g (3.53 oz) cheese

Fried potato sticks
800 g (28.22 oz) waxy potatoes
20 g (0.71 oz) butter
3 g (0.11 oz) salt

Instructions

Meat loaf
Preheat an oven to 175° C (347 degrees Fahrenheit).
Chop the onions very fine.
Fry the onion in the butter on medium heat until golden brown. Let the onions cool.
Mix the minced beef, salt and fried onions.
Flatten the minced beef into a rectangle between two layers of plastic, then take off the top layer.
Grate the cheese and put it on top of the minced beef.
Roll the minced beef like a roulade.
Grease a pan with some soft butter. Place the roulade in the pan and bake in the oven for
30 minutes or until the roulade has an inner temperature of 80° C (176 degrees Fahrenheit)

Fried potato sticks
Slice off the short sides of the potato.
Use an apple corer to cut out long sticks from the potatoes. Aim to get 4 sticks from every potato.
Fry the potato sticks in the butter and salt on low heat until they are golden brown and cooked through.

Assembly
Rinse and dry the salad.
Chop the tomatoes.
Grate the cheese.
Place several potato sticks next to each other on the plates.
Slice a piece of meat loaf and place it on the potato sticks.
Place the salad leaves, tomatoes and cheese cubes over the meat loaf and on the plate.
